I will quote a passage that I have a serious problem with from that posting:
"As far as I’m concerned, In’n'Out Burger can continue to hide tiny little bible passage references (just name of chapter and number of verse, no actual bible words) on the inner lip of the bottom of their soft drink cups, and I will continue to feel deliciously happy when eating their amazing, fresh, reasonably-priced food, rather than going a half mile down the street to McDonalds, no matter how many bible verses they omit from their wrappers".
I find a MAJOR problem with this and I'll tell you why. First off, I DO NOT SUPPORT HATE, DIVISIVENESS OR DISCRIMINATION. Religion supports ALL OF THE ABOVE and then some. Secondly, one would be so LAZY and support all of the above instead of going to an establishment that DOES NOT support divisiveness, hypocrisy and hate. I would walk that extra half mile to an establishment that does not support hate or takes its monies and supports their own churches, etc that are preying on people's minds, encouraging hate, bullying and other repulsive forms of discrimination that is decaying our society. Third, to deceptively having to hide small phrases like a fine print in a contract is not only devious, but IS deceptive. People are too fast and ready to jump to a conclusion by letting their hunger pangs to do their thinking instead of using their puny brains and avoid the very thing that is destroying this world, RELIGION.
The problem for most people, is that they fall hook, line and sinker and take the bait and meet their final fate that their own actions have caused and supported, which I find completely stupid! People are in need of a wakeup call to start thinking and to stop being lazy. The small print just shows just how BIG their damn faith is as they would have to resort through such tactics.
Back in the '50's and '60's, the FCC banned companies from using what would be called "subliminal communication" in their commercials. At movie theaters, Coca-Cola, Hersheys and OTHER COMPANIES would place a 1/4 second text in a frame during an intermission or a movie preview. A person woud not see it vividly, but their brain has captured that brief message. If one were to still frame that commercial, that brief frame would say "Drink More Coke and Buy Popcorn". People did just that without knowing why.
This, too, is another one of many reasons why the FCC switched from Analog to Digital aside from freeing up critical air waves as terrorists and other groups use analog to do a TON of devious things. With Digital, things can be put at a drastic halt.
Now, to those that call themselves Atheists, do you wish to continue to fund and support blatant and delusional endorsing of religion, or get off your lazy asses and walk to an establishment that doesn't support a religion or fund their hateful and divisive causes? Heck, if it's a fast food joint like an In & Out, I'll make my OWN hamburger, etc just the way I like it right in the comfort of my own home. With today's bad economy and unemployment, you're better off eating at home anyway.
Besides, in my case, these are snacks on a store shelf. There are many different varieties, including generics. Once I see or am informed on such products, I'll take the next thing better than to ignorantly support delusion and hate.
